Tips on how to entertain a toddler in a hospital

We visited johns dad yesterday.  We left in somewhat of a hurry & I forgot to bring some things for the kids to do.  John set up a movie on the iPhone for the boys, but let us follow Ryan's adventure through our 5 hour stay.....

Set up a movie on the iPhone for them to watch....

When that doesn't capture his 2-year old attention, show him the helicopter pad by the lake, complete with boats to watch.

After that novelty wears off, give him your iPhone to walk around with....( tip: remember to turn off the camera function or else you'll have about 20 pictures on your phone that look like this):

Fix that & you have this:

Okay, moving on.  Time for Aunt Kaye to take him for a walk in the courtyard outside.  This also happens a 2nd time with Aunt Paula too (cute that it was both his Godmothers).

Now it's time for fun with a hospital glove:

Cool, now it's time for a snack:

Wow, Aunt Sandys chair is fun....like a roller coaster:

Oh. My. Goodness!  Look at all these knobs & buttons!  Surely my parents will allow me to touch all of these....or NOT.  (Eventually since grandpa wasn't hooked up to anything we did allow him to touch a few since all things were going to be sterilized anyway):

Then when Pastor comes in to say a prayer, do your best to keep him quiet:

Finally, it was time to go.  Ryan climbs up on the chair & said Papa!  Papa!  Bye!  Very, very cute....

Photos not captured included playing in the game room next door, crawling on the floor & playing with the room curtain.  Uncle Dan said if the boys develop a fever in the next 2 days, go straight to the ER cuz they're bound to have picked up something!!!!  Haha..... But let's pray we stay fever free cuz yeah, he's totally right....
