Lil bro duties

Though Ryan now tries to get in the water during drop off/ pick up times at swim lessons, he was not the best student last year, so him & I now wait on the sidelines ( while John runs on the track upstairs).  So the lil bro waits while his big bros swim.

There is another 2-year old boy that comes on Wesnesdays & they play trucks.  Here Ryan is super proud that he balanced his truck on the fence. :)

And sometimes we've ditched swimming for 5 minutes to watch Daddy run the track.

And sometimes....he literally hangs around....

He is very patient while waiting & is a good boy. :)

Me!

I snuck a Cheetos puff in after I ate my lunch.  Due to the crunchy bag...Ryan caught me despite my attempts to make it look like I was re-arranging & coughing.  He yelled out ME! ME!  As if I was picking him on a team or something.  Very cute though.  ( and he got some after he are more grilled cheese ).

Ryan's Bath Labratory

Ryan spends bath time lining cups & pouring/transferring water.  Very cute.

Sleep standing up

We recently transferred Ryan to a toddler bed.  Today, though he made several attempts to break free, stayed in his room & fell asleep without me laying in there.  I cracked the door open to see if he was in his bed.  And this is where he was:

I waited a few more minutes to make sure the transfer to his bed would go well & then moved him over.

Swings & a nap

The older two have been having a good time on the swings in Grandma and Papa's basement...doing new tricks & giggling away.

In the meantime, Carter swung right into Ryan and knocked him over.  He said he was sorry and gave him a hug & said 'Okay, Ryan...time for a nap for you'.  Not so much my dear, Carter....he is sad because you knocked him...just because he is crying, doesn't mean it is time for a nap.

Oh that Carter....

A different guy

Carter....man he is a character.  He likes to wear different colored socks.  It all started a couple months ago because the socks hadn't been done in the laundry & there were random socks in the drawer.

He also had to sleep with socks on.  (Not Logan - he prefers them off ).  So he ran to get socks to sleep in ( he took off his dress socks from church earlier that day).  He grabbed an ankle sock - Superman & an above ankle sock....white & gray.  Not just 2 different colors, but 2 different styles.  I said Carter, these are 2 totally different socks.

His reply in silly Carter fashion: I'm a different guy.  Kinda crazy.

Hahahaha!!!!!  You sure are Carter....you most certainly are & we love that about you!

Fun in the Snow!

Today Logan & I hit the small hill at the end of the street.  The weather was finally decent to be outside for longer than a minute. :)

We hit the bigger hill first.

We also spent some time snow-writing.  We had a really fun time. :)

Hooray for mid-20's!!!

Terrible twos

Ryan's version of terrible twos has officially hit the household.  Uncontrollable & inconsolable periods of crying throwing himself around the floor & yelling.

Good times....good times...

All these pictures are tantrum spots he has chosen.  Silly boy!!!

Swim

My 3 little men finished their swim lessons today.  Ryan got hit with a fever yesterday so John stayed home with him. I almost think Ryan did it on purpose since he has not taken to swimming so much....

The boys will both stay in their respective classes they are in now.  They have mastered some skills but need to work on others.

Ryan the dumper

When you leave a toddler alone for a few moments (well with siblings/friends) and he gets ahold of a gallon sized ziploc bag full of foam stickers.....this is what can happen:

Cuddle time

Tonight Ryan kept yelling 'ma' after I put him to bed.  Usually he stops, but he kept at it with a few sad screams, so I went in there.  He snuggled right next to me & we cuddled for 5 minutes & he fell asleep. So sweet.  I held him a few extra minutes.  I love my sweet baby.
